NOT Everything is a Federal Case

a.k.a. Local Governance

In a classic cartoon Bugs Bunny threatens to take a (miniscule) matter to the highest court.
It's funny, I suppose. But much more so, it reflects our society.

The skinkin' thinkin' around us …
I'm right, you're wrong, and I will impose my way at your expense.

"The state is the great fictitious entity by which everyone seeks to live at
the expense of everyone else." – Frederic Bastiat

Win–Win vs Zero Sum

We need the people directly involved to sit down and discuss their conflict. Cut out the middleman/gov't. The outcome to offer a win–win instead of the customary, adversarial
"I win, you LOSE". And in all cases bullies and belligerents cannot receive a benefit/win.

One of my principles is Local Governance. IMHO, 99% of civic squabbles are local. We The People navigating life with our neighbors. Peaceful society only works adhering to win–win.

We The People is the solution. It is NOT gov't.

Local Irritations

There are too many local events on our national news. These events are NOT national events/issues. Municipal and state (elected) officials need to govern. Let them do their job.

Local news is the proper venue for local events. On 6/4/24 this would include:
  •   The New York trial against Donald Trump
  •   The WNBA shoving controversy
  • Natural disasters
  •   Crimes, including mass shootings
  •   ALL social issues … following Federalism

Actual Nat'l News

National news should only cover truly national events and issues.
I see the following:
  • Congressional agenda and legislative debates
  •   Appealed cases working thru the federal appellate courts
  • SCOTUS activities, like setting their docket and schedule for their rulings
  •   An announcemnt for a State of the Union address
    •   and NOT much else as we move away from an imperial President

… like C-SPAN

  We The People, the center

Gov't at the fringe

Congressional Reform

My website showcases federal abuses (predominantly legislative). Gov't has grown for gov't's sake, NOT for The People. This must stop.
A gov't for the people must be re–established.  Period.
